Himalayan Bank Limited was incorporated in 1992 by the distinguished business personalities of Nepal in partnership with Employees Provident Fund and Habib Bank Limited, one of the largest commercial banks of Pakistan. Banks operation was commenced from January 1993. It is the first commercial bank of Nepal with maximum share holding by the Nepalese private sector. Besides commercial activities, the Bank also offers industrial and merchant banking.
